just curious which major cities in Texas dont utilize group one

Hi, I have heard so many horror stories about group one. I want to know which cities in or around the DFW don't use group one? Does San Antonio, Houston, or Austin use group one?

groupone is basically an "extension" if you will of the dfw hospital council. any hospital that is part of them will run a groupone check. you will be hard-pressed to find a hospital in dfw that does not use groupone, although there are a few. pm me for more details. here's a list of the hospitals affiliated with dfw hospital council/groupone.

eta: this list may not be all-inclusive or current but is at least a good estimate.

any of these will run a groupone check. their reach is up to a 100mi radius outside of dfw. other areas of texas do not use their services. so, san antonio, houston and austin are safe. the only exception could be hca hospitals as they have many in the dallas area... and may reach into the groupone pot here in dallas if you have a record and be able to obtain it. hca has hospitals in both houston and san antonio (methodist).

Hope it is okay if I use this thread to ask: What exactly is group one? Do they check all kinds of areas of background or just employment background that reports to them? :nurse::):nurse:THANKS

In addition, GroupOne has crept into a neighboring state, since some hospitals and schools of nursing in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area now use it for background checks.

GroupOne Services is an organization that provides background screening services for healthcare organizations. There is a concern that being terminated from or disciplined by a Dallas hospital could result in not being hired by another DFW hospital.
