junior college or private??

So. ..I scored in the top 36 applicants on my entrance exam and got accepted into the RN program! !! The $50,000 private school that is 2 hours away. I can only get financial aid for half of my tuition. (Iam tapped out of federal aid due to a prior bachelor's and don't qualify for private loans for that amount)

Do I go to my local and much cheaper junior college and work on prerequisites ?

Iam so scared I won't get in to another program again. I am in Northern California and it is extremely competitive and lottery based which makes me crazy! This emotional roller coaster is starting to get to me.

Oh and I tried the cc at the beginning of the year and could not get the classes I needed. Then explored the private option...got in... can't pay for it. . Back to the cc worth a semester wasted. :(

Well, I went the junior college and transferred to a private college. I worked in between and the hospital was giving out scholarships back then, so most was paid and plus the RN pay easily paid the balance off with pay installments. If I couldn't get in the junior college and the private had let me in and had a good reputation with graduating people, I might go for that or better yet, take your prerequisites and pay cheaper prices then go to the private school.

Why not look into an accelerated BSN program? They are designed for those that already hold a bachelors degree.
