What are other people feeling about the exam today? I don't have a great feeling at all!

Results came today,........ After 7.5 years of school, tears, consecutive all-nighters, and feeling like it would never end, I am an RN!!!! So surreal!

Congrats to everyone again, and all the best to those giving it another go!

Everyone that have experienced the ordeal of waiting for this result will agree with me that ....it's no different from a a night mare. It was an awful wait. For those who are still waiting.... plz keep calm & steady your mind... I almost lost it when everyone was posting their passes /fail. For those who will re-write, may God give you the strength , courage & wisdom that you may need to succeed...amen.

I give God all the glory because I was never sure of myself after d exam. I kept on praying as that was d only way I could just assure myself of a miracle. Thank you Jesus. Thank you.

Congrats rollercosta. What a great relief. Congrats. I got mine today & passed.

For those residing in Toronto. Has anyone gotten confirmation from CNO that a clearance letter from Toronto Police is sufficient? Or do we need a vulnerable police check?

I have sent an email to CNO asking about which type of police check is needed but still no response over a week. Their site just mentions they need a basic name check. I have heard the clearance letter is sufficient and have seen someone in a forum on allnurses said it worked for them. But employers/hospital when they offer a job, they prefer the vulnerable sector check.

I applied for the clearance letter for CNO since it is faster and easier to get than the VSS where I am, to get registered quicker. But plan to get the VSS when asked to.

I can't get a hold on the phone but will try again on Monday with CNO. Will let you know if I find out. In the meantime, I'm waiting for the clearance letter

I asked TPS about which letter to get, and they said the clearance letter is enough for licensure. Just know that it could 20 days to get one (I wish I ordered it after the CRNE exam). You can order online and pick up at local police station (thank goodness I don't have to spend time to go downtown to get one).

I also looked at the vulnerable sector check and it seems it is the hiring agency that requests the check, not the individual (no way to order one yourself).

Thank you for the clarification Erniefu. I ordered mine online on Monday, I hope to get an email to pick mine up soon but who knows when it will be. TPS says expect an email to pick it up within 10 business days but not holding my breath.

It appears to be more difficult to obtain the VSS unless it is requested by an agency, and even still, after it is requested you have to wait longer for it. I wish there was a way to get it without needing permission. I will post when I do receive the clearance letter.
