June 2008 Passers applying for CVS

Published

Are there any June 2008 NLE Passers that are planning to apply for CVS as part of their application for Licensure in New York?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.
We are perfectly aware of that. And we are also perfectly aware about the retrogression and the long wait. You don't have to reiterate it over and over again. The topic here is NY licensure and CVS and not about retrogression and employment. Please let's stick to the topic.

We have seen many International nursing students post that they have struggled in NY where they trained to find a employer willing to petition or even help with OPT and have to leave the state.

At the end of the day you have to find a employer but if you can't is it worth paying and going through CVS if you can't and have to pay again with another state as CVS is only for NY and CGFNS doesn't keep any copies so like transcripts will have to be sent again

There's a lot of employer coming on Jan.2009 sponsoring for New York. CVS is a long process but if you are really decided and have the determination, then you will succeed. PM me for the employment opportunities.

Maybe these NY employers could sponsor an internship program In the Philippines. So if the their is ever a position these nurses can be employed.

Also the employers must advertise for US nurses first, there are many nurses being laid off in the USA. These employers have to show despite marketing efforts not one qualified US applied. I live in the northeast. My daughter lives in NY. Her reports are that several hospitals are closing therefore their is a glut of medical personal looking for positions.

Who should I believe, my eyes and what my daughter tells me. Or someone who requires a PM.

Specializes in intensive care, recovery, anesthetics.

The last positions offered were all nursing home positions, there was another thread about it. I found them very unattractive, low wages, high patient/nurse rota. So I guess it would be unattractive for many americans as well, so they are trying getting foreign educated people for that. Once you sign a contract you might be bound, so a good deal for the recruiters/agencies.

And maybe a good deal for people who desperatly want to come, even in some years time, who knows. Hard to tell since we don't know their circumstances.

But why the secrecy??

Makes me wonder.

I have a lot of relatives in New York and majority of them work in healthcare. They hold management positions and they're coming back to the Philippines next year to recruit nurses for their facilities in New York next year.

And for PM issues, I think that's my privilege as a member of this forum. I am not forcing anyone here to believe me. And I think not all information here is reliable, anyway. :icon_roll And why in the world would you need that information? Are you laid-off? Do you need the job? If you want to apply and need the information then please PM me. But I think you're not gonna be accepted.
