What happens when a facility recieves a IJ tag? I heard that all the nurses licenses are in jeopardy...is that true? What if you never even met that resident, but you work at the facility....can your license be in jeopardy if you weren't even at the facility the entire time the resident was there???

I have yet to hear of or see a D.O.N. Keep their job when the IJ is in nursing. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that I have not seen it myself.
And how long have you been in nursing? Just asking :) BC my facility now has an IJ and the DON had yet to be replaced as management during investigation and they plan to dispute the IJ in Austin tx. I know it sounds bad but our DON IS AWFUL and I think should be replaced

A DON can be fired for any reason at all. You could have 2 perfect surveys back to back and still get fired.

I have worked at two separate facilities that received an IJ while I worked there. Neither DON was immediately fired but both did eventually leave a few months down the line. The first IJ was facility related (elopement prevention). The IJ at the second was a nursing issue.
