A lot of nurses and nursing students have blogs that they basically use as journals (but probably not as personal since anyone can see it). I have really enjoyed reading them the past year or so that I have been pre-nursing. I am actually thinking of starting my own now, I'm just not sure if I'll have time to keep up with it.
They are useful to both you and the people reading them. The things you write will be remembered forever (or at least until you delete the blog) so you can always go back and relive your memories. They also let others out there (whether they are nursing students, family or whoever) see what your journey was like.
Dondie, I found most of the blogs I read just by googling "nursing blogs" or "Nursing student blogs". It took a lot of trial and error to find ones that I liked or that updated them normally (some of the blogs out there haven't been updated in years).
If you want an easier way to find them, there is a site called mediblogopathy.com that gives a great source for a lot nurse and student blogs. There are a lot of them there so I've never had the time to go through them all but I'm sure there are some good ones.
Warning: reading blogs is addicting! I love reading them though because they tell you things about nursing that no school will tell you, only a student can. Hope you can find some you like!
Enjoy your reading!
