Hey everyone :) I just applied to the nursing program at JJC. I've completed all my prereqs for the program. Great GPA, with a 73 on my teas exam. How's everyone's scores looking? :) and good luck to all who has applied!!!
Oh no worries! Sorry, my toddlers are being super needy tonight , you can message me on fb too if you want, michelle prignano. I don't have bio 250 and bio251. I applied for only days, I have an AAS already (don't know if that weighs in at all)
no problem- it must be just the GPA then- grr okay well it is what it is! Thank you for all the insight! Best of luck to both of you to get in!!
I got in the evening program!!!!! Hello everyone!! I'm so damn nervous but excited!! I can't believe this.
Im currently half way thru my BIO 251 with an amazing teacher. This summer taking Health and Soc 290
on-line...then it starts...the real classes in the fall! I'm going to attempt to work FT and do night classses.
I will probably be all gray, or bald, and like 100 lbs. lol. eek!!! Anyone else get in the evening program??
Best of luck to all applicants :):)
Congratulations to everyone accepted! As a reference for those that were curious, I was accepted to the program with the following: ENG 101 (A), PSYC 101 (A), PSYC 215 (A), HEAL 109 (A) and am currently enrolled in BIO 250 and will complete BIO 251 over the summer. So 4/6 of the prereqs completed with a 4.0 GPA in those said courses. My TEAS score was 71.3. I'm going to go ahead and make a generalized assumption that with this round of admissions, it must have come down to emphasis on your GPA since I'm seeing those that had a much higher TEAS than I but where we differed was the GPA of the prerequisites. Good luck to everyone on your journey of becoming nurses!

I went to one of the nursing information sessions, and I do remember the chairman of the program mentioning that if a student's TEAS score was not above 76, then they take into account their GPA, so you are right! Congrats on the acceptance!
