Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the DNP program at Hopkins. I recently applied prior to the early Nov 1 deadline. I noticed from last years thread that some applicants mentioned they had interviews already (at this time). Has anyone applied and been interviewed yet? Best of luck to everyone.

 

I think they notified everyone already about the area of expertise scholarship so I am assuming I didn't get it 🥲

Shoot! I'm sorry...I was assuming I wasn't going to get it either (since I didn't get any other ones), so I resolved to not going to Hopkins if the FA package didn't come up with something miraculous. That was hard...but I really psyched myself up for my next choice school and all the debt I WASN'T going to have 😂

I'm very grateful for the availability of the NHSC scholarships. I just wish they would change the system so that they could release decisions before people had to make a choice of school. That is a big risk to take with a school like this and if you don't get it, it could be financially devastating. Are you in, or would be willing to work in a rural area? Is this a possibility for you?

An update on Financial Aid: I was on the FA webinar today, and the Director said they received FAFSAs mid-week and have begun sending awards. He said he would send more out today and would work over the weekend to send more out. He expects to get them finished by 4/17 (Wed). If you haven't submitted your deposit yet and would like an extension on the 4/15 deadline, contact admissions. They are making exceptions due to the unique situation with FAFSA this year.
