Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the DNP program at Hopkins. I recently applied prior to the early Nov 1 deadline. I noticed from last years thread that some applicants mentioned they had interviews already (at this time). Has anyone applied and been interviewed yet? Best of luck to everyone.

 

You might be right that decisions won't be released until after the March 12th meeting. Another two weeks of waiting ?.

I haven't even been asked for an interview. My application was verified 1/30, however. Post-grad PMHNP cert program.

I was just accepted to a less prestigious but solid program, and will likely accept it rather than wait for JHU. I want to go where I'm clearly wanted, and cost is a factor. My first NP degree was with a top rated school, and to be honest, the prestige factor hasn't made a difference in my career. Beyond the first job, no one knows or cares where their coworkers received training, including docs. Just putting that out there for anyone who doesn't get admitted or is waitlisted with JHU — it's not the end of the world. Good luck to everyone!

Oh yeah! Prestige should never be a motivation for a school. I had a really good experience at Hopkins SON and would love to continue my learning at this institution.
