Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the DNP program at Hopkins. I recently applied prior to the early Nov 1 deadline. I noticed from last years thread that some applicants mentioned they had interviews already (at this time). Has anyone applied and been interviewed yet? Best of luck to everyone.

 

I have a gut feeling we are going to hear back some time next week...

I applied with a friend but they got their reference in last week and is also waiting for an interview and they told me that the admissions team said next round of interviews will be sent out this week or next.

Did your friend also apply to DNP PMHNP? I have applied to the PM cert for psych and assume the applications are reviewed either with or after the DNP apps, but it's good to hear that others are also waiting for an interview. I applied late (ie. CAS verification completed end of Jan).

We both applied to the DNP - PMHNP programs. I think they are together because my interview was with the program director and she said that they were still actively going through both applications. My friend also got their stuff in late and so now it's the waiting game for everyone. I think decisions and interviews are going to occur in another round soon. ???

I haven't heard boo from JHU so I was assuming I wasn't going to receive an interview req. I received an email on 2/1 that my application was under review.

To which program did you apply, and was your application verified before the priority deadline?

I applied to FNP. The application was submitted before the priority deadline, but it was not verified until after.

The DNP admissions committee meets again 3/12. Is it possible that on 3/12 they review as a group the final candidate scoring/ranking (ie. their own internal ranking of each candidate based on GPA, essays, letters, interview, etc, and as scored by only the 1-3 people who actually reviewed the application), and then release the letters after that?m in a batch?

 If I or others similar to me aren't offered an interview prior, it means either I've been rejected or my application will be reviewed at the subsequent DNP admissions committee (though I'm just a psych PM cert applicant, I assume my app is lumped in with the psych DNPs and with lesser priority/fewer available spaces).

Does anyone know whether it works this way?
