Hi,

I have applied for and received an invite to interview at JHH on a pediatric unit. I figured since there are previous threads for past years I'd start a new one for 2020 hires/start dates! Lets all keep each other informed and updated through the process.

I just got my interview date and time today. I'm from TX, living in AL for school.

Hi! I just recently got invited to interview, its set for March 31st (from Miami!) for the CVSICU. I graduate the last week of April, if I'm offered the job I would HOPEFULLY start 2 months after you! But all these comments about how complicated transferring license from nonimpact states.. I'm super nervous

Congratulations! I accepted a position at Weinberg 5c and I'm coming from Orlando. Florida is part of the compact state so you should be fine.

OMG I just noticed I wrote impact instead of compact, and yes! you're correct, its just the information I was emailed from John Hopkins only said 25 states were and Florida wasn't part of them, I thought that was the last updated version and didn't research it on my own. Phew, that makes me feel so much better! Thanks!

If I interview and get the offer I will be starting May 4th in the ED!

I wore business casual to the actual interview and then changed into scrubs for the "shadow time" on the unit.

I wore scrubs all through for both interviews, infact my interview email recommended wearing scrubs so I didn’t even bother with any other. I received offers for both interviews I attended.

Thoracic Surgical Unit! You will do great! Just be yourself and show them why you would be a great nurse and an asset to them!
