Published

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to start a thread for the Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing MSN program for August 2021 applicants. I started my application this week, aiming to get it in well before the November 1st deadline . Anyone else??

I think we should all be accepted and become the best of nursing friends! ??

If only! Haha. Good luck guys! I applied November 1 with word counts of 300-310. That, in itself, was so hard LOL

Hi all!

I'll be applying for the January 1st deadline.

For the Sources of Contacts where it says indicate what influenced you the most to apply to the JHU? did you respond to this in an essay format?

Same for the COVID-19 Impact, where it says describe how COVID-19 has impacted your pathway to nursing school? is an essay response necessary?

I believe the COVID-19 Impact one is optional but both of these look like mini-essay questions to me.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Hi!

The one for what influenced you most to apply, you only have 60 characters to work with so it's 2 sentences at best. For the COVID one, I wrote an essay. I believe we had 2500 words to work with. Though the prompt is optional, it would give the admissions board another opportunity to get to know you as a prospective student so I recommend answering it!

Hi!

Did you all list all your achievements, experiences, and licensure and certifications under supporting information? even though everything is listed on the CV.

Hey all,

So the essays have an "approx 300 word limit." During the zoom info session, the admissions mentioned that as long as your essay fits in the word box, you are fine. So I'm guessing the 300 limit is loosely used.

Has anyone done a supplemental addendum?

I have 2 semesters back in 2006/2007 where I did not do well academically. Although overall my undergraduate GPA was a 3.4. Does anyone know how long these need to be? and what type of information needs to be on it?

I did as well. There is no length requirement. Just be honest and yourself. No one is perfect and we all take different paths in life.

hi!

One of my essays was 500 words I think. As long as it fits youre good to go. I checked with admissions.

Hey ? I submitted my app on 10/22 and never received an email from Hopkins directly saying they received my application. I got one from NursingCas tho. Were we supposed to receive one directly from them too?
