Johns Hopkins CRNA 2021

Nursing Students SRNA

Hey everyone! Didn't see a thread for the Johns Hopkins CRNA program starting in May '21. I think this would be a useful way to stay in touch. Application is due today, so I think feedback is right around the corner.

I’m just saying it’s all about integrity ??‍♀️Being honest with a school can give you an extension for the deadline to accept an offer or can even give you information about where you stand.
If you decide to accept an offer, hold a seat, and then rescind the offer, it can affect funding for the school, and sometimes schools don’t fill those lost seats from the waitlist. But like I said, you make yourself a priority, so you do what you gotta do.

True, I’ve never heard it happen, but a school can technically withdraw their offer if they find out you’ve accepted multiple offers.

But let’s stay positive! I know the wait is getting to people! I have a feeling it’ll be soon!

I'm staying positive!! ? Not saying to accept multiple offers, but accepting 1 is more than OK while you navigate through the rest of the interview/application process. Especially since schools space out their app deadlines throughout the year. With that being said, there are no hard feelings! This is a forum to express ideas and discuss the process! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I totally respect that. I was just weighing in since some people weren't sure of what to do. But like @picukween24 said, you have to make yourself priority, so do what works for you! ❤️ Good luck to all!

I don't think anyone here is trying to take anyone's spots. We've all worked so hard to be in this position. We're trying to navigate the process respectfully and appropriately, without being pushy or adding to an already stressful situation, and in a way that is professional and maximizes our chances of achieving what we've worked for years towards. Let's try and remain positive and supportive on this thread. We should be cheering each other on, not putting one another down. Anyway, just some food for thought. Good luck, everyone! Truly! ?

Yeah let’s leave personal opinions out of this thread because it is not helpful or useful at all. Hopefully we will hear soon so let’s keep to objective stuff that we hear about the program and/or admission decisions. I’m just hoping to not get served a giant glass of nope juice ?

I called the office this morning to try to get a better timeline on admission decisions. They said they are working on them now and most, if not all, of us should hear by the end of the month/first week of December. Hope this clears things up!

Call me crazy but I feel like we’ll hear this coming week before thanksgiving. Could be wrong but I’m optimistic.

OK so I was dead wrong LOL. Anyone heard anything?

I just got an email! I’m in!

Got an email too but will be accepting a different offer!

Did you decide to go to Georgetown or another program? I’m very town here!

Has anyone else been getting promotional emails from Hopkins Admissions? I’ve gotten like 3 today and each time I look at it it’s a mini heart attack followed by a sigh. They know I’m waiting to hear from them, and I can’t block the admissions office ?
