Hey everyone! Didn't see a thread for the Johns Hopkins CRNA program starting in May '21. I think this would be a useful way to stay in touch. Application is due today, so I think feedback is right around the corner.

Don't give up hope. I was contacted a few days after initial decisions and they offered me a spot.
I had just about given up on my dream of becoming a CRNA at the time.
You never know. ?

Agreed! I was accepted off of the waitlist on 12/9, and they gave me a week to decide. Definitely don’t give up hope!
Hi! I was hoping to apply to JHU's program in the next year or so. Would you mind sharing the stats you had when you applied? I'd like to gauge how competitive I am!
I have one year of progressive care experience and 3 years of ICU experience (2 years MICU, 1 year STICU). My STICU experience is at a Level 1 Trauma Center. I'm planning to move in the next 6 months and I will be starting at new job in the CVICU (also in a Level 1 Trauma Center). I wanted to obtain a broad range of experience.
I have my CCRN and CMC certifications as well as my TCRN. 16hrs of CRNA shadowing completed. I had hoped to do much more but COVID had other plans! ? I am also a member of my unit's Safety Committee.
I graduated my BSN with a 3.56 GPA. I am in the process of taking Chem 1, Chem 2, and O Chem, as they were not required for my original BSN. I am also planning on taking refresher courses in A&P, Pharmacology, Microbiology, and possibly Stats. Hoping to increase my GPA in the process!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I recently decided to attend the University of Maryland. I was accepted into all three program (UMD, Hopkins, and Georgetown), but after looking at length of program establishment, student success, and overall financial cost I chose UMD.
This being said, I know Hopkins will be an amazing program. I hope I made a good decision!
