Hi all - maybe I am jumping the gun, but has anyone else begun working on their applications for Summer/Fall 2010 admission?
I plan on applying for direct entry to JHU, UCSF, Yale, Columbia, and Vanderbilt. With the exception of UCSF's 9/1 deadline, the rest seem to be due between 11/1 and 12/1. Although UCSF has the closest deadline, I am stressing the most about the essays for JHU. Anyone started them yet?
Also, does anyone plan on attending the open house that JHU is having in September? I would love to go, but I am in California, so I have to decide if it is worth the $$$. I am thinking I might be better off saving the money to fly out for the interview (positive thinking here).
Anyway, I would love to compare notes with anyone applying, or anyone who applied last year.
Thanks and good luck! ![]()
congrats guys thats awesome!!!does anyone know if they are making more calls another day or if everyone who was accepted already got a call?
Based on trends from previous years (posts on this forum), I strongly believe they'll be making calls through tuesday.
I have a hunch we'll all be attending.

Are most of you guys from California? I'm originally from California(from LA) (did my BA at UCSC) but now I live in Alexandria, Va/work for the GOV in DC. I am basically just down the road from Baltimore. If you haven't visited the campus, I suggest that you do. It is amazing. I toured all the schools in the DC Metro Area that have accelerated programs, but JHU was simply amazing. VCU came a close second though since they just opened a new acute care wing at the hospital that was magnificient. I know flights are really expensive from California, but I encourage everyone to visit. Maybe you can find a deal on Southwest or something? Plus, Baltimore is a little different than any city I have ever been too, and Hopkins isn't in the best of areas, but it's being gentrified. Might be worth a look.
