John Tyler Spring 2016 applicants

Is there anyone on here who applied or is applying to the program starting spring 2016?

I just finished the summer session at JTCC which was my first semester and applied to the spring 2016 traditional track. I just moved here from NC in June and I'm so nervous about my application.

Me too. I'm positive they know stats from previous years. Not having good communication with my advisor makes me somewhat nervous.

Hi everyone, I am sitting on pins and needles.....has anyone heard anything or know when we will find out if we were accepted?

Me too!! I think we still have a couple weeks yet. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, I think we have a couple more weeks still. However, registration for the spring semester starts towards the beginning of Nov.. surely we'll hear before that so we can register for classes? Or would new nursing students have a special registration after acceptance??

In the information session, I was told we would be contacted in mid October. Looking at other forums, (spring '15) they were contacted around October 17th. We could know something as early as this week.

I was told by one of the nursing advisors that:

"I expect the emails for nursing program acceptance and denial to be sent out the last week of October. The Admissions Committee will have the final determination on that date."

It usually is mid-October but it makes sense that this term would have acceptance/denials during the last week of October since this was the first time they extended the open application period for an additional two weeks (ending on September 15 versus last week of August). I'm with you girls, I check my email every 15 to 30 minutes DAILY, lol.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up since this is such a competitive process, but I cant help it! I'm just trying to stay focused on my current classes and do as well as I can and keep in mind that even if I don't get accepted for Spring Semester I can still continue to take co-reqs and try again for the next application period.

I also applied for the Spring '16 semester...This has been the LONGEST '4-6 weeks' of my life...Hoping to hear something by this weekend before I go crazy! Please post if you receive any EMAIL/USPS MAIL! Goodluck to everyone!
