John Tyler Community College Spring 2018

Hi!! I started this thread for all those who plan on applying for the JTCC Spring 18 RN session. (Hybrid or traditional)

Anybody who has previously applied to the JTCC program please feel free to join the discussion and tell us applicants how the application process went as well as how the nursing program went or is going!!

I finally got the nerve up to call and ask for an update on when we should expect to hear (and to try to fish for information on how many applications there were this time around) but I've been receiving the busy signal all day! I wonder if they took the phone off the hook because they were receiving too many calls?

I thought for sure we were going to hear today since the school was closed yesterday for founder's day...

I tried to call again too and kept getting a voicemail... when I called last Tuesday she said the letters will be going out within two weeks... so we should know by next Tuesday the latest!!!

I can't believe we haven't heard back yet! I tried to call my nurising advisor and got a busy signal as well...

So i spoke to my advisor today via email and she told me I will hear back by the end of the current semester which seems absurd because the spring 2018 semester which we all applied for begins less than 3 weeks after the end of the fall semester... really hoping we find out soon because I need to make some major adjustments with work and child care if I do get in.... Best of luck everybody be sure to let us know when you get that e-mail and hoping everybody on this forum gets in and we will all meet in orientation!! :)

I'm hoping that she just HAD to say that and that's not fact because the nursing website says 8-9 weeks from the application deadline at the latest. Next week will be 8 weeks! Goodness I am just so ready to find out either way!!

Yes hopefully! Hopefully sometime next week we will hear back. When I had called last Tuesday she said within 2 weeks so that would mean by this coming Tuesday!

I honestly think they are waiting to notify us until Monday... They notified people the past two application periods (last spring and the previous fall) on a Monday. I'm just grateful I have to work today.... It keeps me from checking my email compulsively lol

I am at John Tyler now for microbiology class I spoke to somebody in health sciences department and we should hear on Monday!!!
