Hey guys I have a question.

Unfortunately lol I have come down with jock itch! I assume it is from exercising and wearing my scrubs. My scrubs are a little big from losing weight and the crotch is by my knees sometimes and I think from sweating I have gotten this anyway my question lol What can I use to help clear this up fast? I was using some cream corticoid i think, that I bought at the store but i think it made it worse. I just tonight used medicated powder the gold bond stuff and it cooled it down and stung like a bitc* lol but my boyfriend said to try the spray. I am afraid to use the spray because of my private. I don't want a yeast infection or any other kind of infection in there lol I never had one and don't want one. Now that I have been rambling can someone just give me a good thing to use for a girl! Lol

cotton is our friend.

oops! perhaps i had them confused. but i do know, that fabrics that hold moisture instead of letting them dry are bad. in other words, a fabric that stays wet from sweat is not good and you should choose a different one.... marching band was such a long time ago..... :uhoh21:

I have a question here:

YOU ARE 20 YEARS OLD, sexually active, AND NEVER SEEN A GYNO? I think a visit is in order before trying ANY of these remedies. Who knows what it could be?

Well first off...I am twenty...second off no one said I was sexually active...I am but that was never discussed in this thread :) I have never had a need to go to the gyno I have never even had a yeast infection. I've only been with the same guy forever! Since I was 16 so I never really needed to go. :) Get my drift :p

And I would like you to know everyone my itch it going away. I got some nystatin cream and have used it twice and it looks soooo much better! Yay for me lol

Lisa,

I realize I'm veering way off course from the original post/question. However, I agree with the other poster that expressed surprise re: your comment that you hadn't yet visited the gynecologist. Most women don't realize that when you begin sexual activity, this is precisely the correct time to start getting those annual checks.

I think it's great that you've been with the same person for many years, but in the end you are only cognizant of your actions and history, not theirs. Just think of it as a health insurance policy. You can never be 'too healthy'! :)

Agreed with the above poster......gyno checks are SO important for a variety of reasons. That's one annual appointment I don't miss!

And if you noted in my post I put the sexually active in lower case, while your age and the fact you had never been was in larger text. Fact is, SINCE YOU WERE 16 you really needed to go.

This is not a personal attack, nor is it a judgement. I was concerned that you would ask online about things that would be best determined in a doctors office, especially since you had never been. You might want to consider that PREVENTATIVE care is a good thing. Gyno's don't just treat simple things like yeast infections, they do complete women's health. Really, it isn't a bad thing, ALL women should go. I was rather shocked you hadn't been, and hope you do go.

Yay for you!

I agree---- sounds like an external yeast infection, try monistat internally & externally, soak in epsom salts & eat yogurt. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, see your doctor

no doubt, i have had the same problems, make sure that if you are wearing reversible scrub pants, the softer seam is on the inside, this will help dramatically!!
