Do you know any hospital that could offer job for nurses who passed the June 2006 NLE? It seems that hospitals discriminate the 2006 nurses... if you call them and inquire, they will say thay "yes" they hire 2006, but once you go to their office and submit your CV and credentials, they would tell you that they are not accepting 2006 as of now until the issue is not cleared yet! I have a friend who passed the 2006 NLE and until now he find it hard to look for a job.. he has no money to pay for the trainings some hospitals are offering, or couldn't afford to volunteer and still no assurance of being hired since he's a 2006! Where in the world these passers would go? if they couldn't find a job in their own country?

Okay. If you are looking for hospitals who are accepting June 2006 passers, here goes the list of hospitals who have hired my fellow batchmates. (This list is limited as I only updated my list from my FEU batchmates.)
1. St. Lukes Medical Center - plenty of my batchmates doing their training here and some are already working in the said institution
2. Philippine Heart Center - I am contemplating of applying here but because of my acute schedule (doing tutor and assistant reviewer for a review center) I am not able to apply as of the moment. Although one of my batchmate is currently working there.
3. FEU NRMF - this hospital located in fairview has accepted my batchmates for work. Blood is thicker than water.
4. Delos-santos STI - my fellow batchmates are doing trainings here, I still have to ask if they are working there or interested to work there.
5. V. Luna Military Hospital - has accepted June 2006 passers from FEU. But I heard that they will recieve new applicants this January. NOne as of the moment. I also heard they pay 18k for starters.
6. PGH - the coveted hospital is accepting applicants as long as you have your plastic license. If you do not have the plastic they will not accept you.
I will update my list as soon as some info gets to me. Try Jose Reyes MMC because it is also a great institution.
Some notes though, there are a lot of factors as to why they hire or they do not hire a potential employee. I think being June 2006 passer is not the only factor for not being hired.
I am waiting for the decision of CGFNS though. Tired of reading between the lines. Black and white helps. No gray area.
Hope the info help you and your friends.

My friend who passed the June 2006 took the entrance exam at V.Luna last August and already passed it.. but the institution didn't scheduled him for an interview saying that they are not accepting 2006 although he passed the exam.. it was really disappointing for my friend because he really waited for the results to come up and it actually took him almost 2 months for the release of the exam results alone all the while he will not be interviewed.

Sad to know. Have you tried other government hospitals in the Metro?
I recall that the Sec. of Health even mentioned that exam passers of June 2006 are welcome to most of their hospitals.

Majority of the US States no longer require you to pass CGFNS, in fact there are only few now. I would suggest that start your application for NCLEX, and from there, plan.

Just remember that everyone will still be required to apply for the VisaScreen Certification if you want to have a US Greencard through being a nurse and that is done via ICHP, a subdivision of CGFNS.
so it means, being one of the 06 passers, should wait for the result of the investigation? cuz its the same thing as passing NCLEX and wait for the decision for the 06 passers..huh...After you pass your NCLEX exams, does it have its expiration? tnx
We are getting off-track from the thread. I would appreciate it if you post this same question on the Int'l forum since this topic would be more appropriate there and I don't exactly understand what your query is because of the way you constructed your paragraph. Sorry.
I am sorry to hear that your friend was not given the opportunity to have his interview in V. Luna. But I know 2006 passers are accepted in the said institution. I have to research more on this. To the best of my knowledge they are accepting June 2006 passers. We have a close relationship with the said hospital. I do not like to sound corrupted (Ironic) but it does happen sometimes that if you have people you know in every institution, they will help. That is the Filipino way I guess. I am inquiring in Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center instead but my wifey said I should apply in St. Lukes. So I will be posting additional info about this that can help.
