hi! i just want to know the current situation of australian nurses when it comes to employment and salary. is finding a job in a hospital / mental facility/ aged care setting way too difficult? is there a surplus of Au RNs too?

In the public sector in Adelaide there are not enough jobs for graduates and all RN and EN jobs seem to be one year contracts.
I'm going back to Adelaide soon - that is not good news. I've worked a lot at the RAH, but I also find that you get lots of work in the private hospitals. R u looking for work Scrubby? Sportsmed are always looking for RNs.

I have a permanent full time position in a public hospital, very lucky!
If you're interested in theatres, RAH is advertising.

I've already re-applied to the RAH. They told me to ring them after I get back next week, so I'll set up a time, etc. Otherwise I can get work thru Mediserve when I get back.
Email me if you like, what hospital are you working at?
