I am looking for a graduate nurse position and have been on several interviews, but I am just not getting hired. My interviewers seem to generally like me, they keep me in the interview for longer than an hour. They talk to me like they have already decided to hire me. One went so far as to say just let me know if you want days or nights and I will send you your offer in 2 days. Another one said they would let me know within 2 days of interviewing and I haven't heard anything in over a week. I am looking for any advice. I am wondering what I can do to make myself more appealing to an interviewer. I am open to any shift, I passed NCLEX, I am bilingual in Spanish, I was previously in the restaurant industry for years, I am open to everything and I have a great attitude. Please Advise.

There could be a lot of reasons why your interviewers haven't gotten back to you. They want to hire you, but HR hasn't processed the offer yet. HR is ready to process the offer, but the hiring manager hasn't gotten the paperwork back to them. Everyone has done the paperwork but the assistant who puts it all together is on vacation and the temp has no idea what to do. It's entirely possible that the offer is in the mail, but when they called you to tell you that it went straight to voicemail or someone misdialed or even (as happened to me once) they were calling the land line that you never monitor instead of the cell phone you asked them to use. Try to relax and not worry just yet.
