So I am a military wife who will be moving back to the civilian world soon. I am having the hardest time looking for a job as a CNA in a family practice setting. Where do family practice or private offices post their job listings? I am also a certified lactation consultant. How would someone look for a job as a lactation consultant? I love working with kids, babies, and pregnant women but it is so hard to find a job in these fields if you don't know where to look. Any help is appreciated.

Hi ArmyWife
I am not sure about the CNA jobs, other than going to individual offices and dropping off a resume (some places hold them in case openings arise), but for the lactation consultant position, I would recommend going to the Health Dept., b/c most of the WIC offices have a lactation consultant on hand for mothers who need help.
Good luck in your job search, and welcome back to the civilian world
Take care,

The best luck I've had finding jobs online is through http://www.indeed.com. They don't list their own, but they scour other job-list sites and link them. It seems many places hiring LPNs and CNAs don't post to the big job-sites, and unless you know what you're looking for or you're already in a particular system you miss a lot of the jobs posted on the little sites around here.
Bonne chance!
