They may not hire you if you tell them you are leaving shortly. Orientation costs a hospital alot of money. You may end up ******* some people off, but you're leaving anyway, so how much do you care? lol. It would be really great to get a taste of how nursing is done in the civilian world for you before you leave. As a manager, I wouldn't hire someone leaving in a couple months.
Lol... I was in this position, and was up front about it. I told my boss I was probably leaving in May for military. She was actually very impressed and happy for me and said that she'd let me work till then. Of course I only got like 3 days for orientation and I know most places put people on months for orientation.

i got a call back from an interview i had two weeks ago. i passed the oral exam, and now they want me to go to the hiring interview. i have already commissioned and signed all the paperwork. should i or should i not try to get hired at this job knowing that i will be attending may 14 COT?
