Im just wondering if there are any others here that are planning on applying to Joliet Junior College in Illinois for the Spring 2016 start date?

I know it may seem easy for me to say, but to anyone that didn't make it, please don't give up. It may seem like a long time, but the next fall semester will be here before you know it. I am really hoping everyone makes it!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I got accepted into the day program and am SO excited! I still can't believe it! I congratulate everyone who made it in and encourage everyone who did not not to give up hope and try next semester :) I look forward to meeting everyone at registration and cannot wait to begin this new journey!! :) :) :)

Does anyone know the details about getting the background check and drug test?

Not yet. I just remember the email saying to email back to confirm your spot then they would send us the information about completing it. I hope it's sooner rather than later considering we need the results in person by November 3rd.

They will give you an instruction sheet at orientation/registration regarding the background check and drug screen. It will have the website to order and pay for your screening, and then you take your proof of payment of ordering the check to Quest and get the drug screen portion done. The company ( I am sorry, but I cannot remember the name it's something with the word street I think) will email you the results of both in a few weeks and you print those out and bring them to the office. You will also need a physical, TB test, Titers, CPR card on file ( if expiring before the semester is over in which you start, you HAVE to renew before hand), copy of insurance card, paperwork, etc. You should receive all of this information in a nice little file fold when you go for your registration. :) Hope this helps

I'm sorry, I just read that you said you need it completed by Nov 3rd? That is new, so hopefully they will just send you the information in an email then. Must be changing things from how we did it last semester.

Thank you, you're so helpful! I just received the email that sends us to the link that we need to order the background check and where we need to go for the drug screening. I guess they want us to have it completed for the actual registration this semester. Which is fine, I was just worried I wouldn't have enough time to complete it. Looks like everything is good to go, though :)
