Jittery about NET test

Published

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen,

I take the Net test in the summer and I am jittery just thinking about it. this is part of the admissons process along with an autobiography, references, grades, work ethics scores, and the required core classes. Please offer me some type of relief so that I can process what I can expect and calm myself down. I have been wanting to be a nurse for a long time and finally its happening. It's mid-term and I have A's in all my classes. How is the NET scored and what is considered to be good?

I just recently took the net a few weeks ago. Practice your reading speed and answering questions along with the reading cause most people dont finish that part in the 30 min they give you. Also math brush up on BASIC algebra, precents, decimals, averages things ike that and you will do fine

Thanks a billion!!!!

I take my NET (re-take) on June 6th. I am going to work on my reading speed because I think that is where I got :trout: . I did okay on the math and comprehension was okay. I was not fast enough, so I did not finish like 10 questions. While I am off for these two weeks, I am going to do some kick butt studying for the NET. I am planning on knocking it out the box! How is that for confidence? :clown:

There really isn't anything to worry about. To be honest, the only people at my school who have trouble with it are those where English is not their first language. I would recommend buying the study guide because the reading questions are different than normal and the book will totally prepare you. The math is pretty simple and basic. There isn't any complicated algebra on it. You will do fine if you get the study guide.

I am taking the NET in about two weeks and I am very nervous about the reading section. I am using a study giude from eriworld.com. What is on the writing part of the exam? Is it an essay or just simple english usage questions?

I dunno if this helps any... but I wrote a blog entry in the past about my experience with the NET.

I took the net last fall and it is really not as bad as people make it out to be. Just make sure you know your basic math and reading.

I took the NET test this past November and I have to say that the Reading comprehension was the toughest part....but....the ERI world study guide will help you tremendously. It is tailored to the test just right. Please try your best to know the inferences, main ideas, etc. This part was the most difficult for myself as well as the other people I know who took it. If you are studying that book, you should be fine. I know you can do it. :pumpiron: Good luck and God bless.
