I didn't see a thread already. Is anyone applying for Spring 2019?
Hmm that's interesting who knows? I still didn't get my "decision" letter..I know it is a letter, but was told they went out early this week and some went out the Friday before..I just know I am getting one of them, so there is no more need for me to obsessively check my inbox anymore..LOL
Sorry I meant Why? (if you don't mind that I ask)..
While JH is the #1 nursing school in the country...the MSN isn't specialized at all. Knowing that as a new grad, you will get paid the same amount as a BSN holder, having a specialized degree [for me] offers more earning power in the future down the road. Getting a MSN means I will have to go back to school again to become specialized [NP, Leadership, etc] in order to increase my earning power.
This being said, University of Maryland offers the CNL Masters, Yale, Emory, University of Rochester, and Vanderbilt offers the NP. I would rather spend the money to get a specialized nursing masters degree in an area that will guarantee money down the road [that will also help me payback said investment].
Does this make sense?
Hello! I have accepted at JHU and just decided to actually attend in the spring! I am super excited/nervous. I was wondering if there is a facebook group or something? I am from Virginia and I'm trying to connect with fellow classmates! I also am seeking help with housing? I would appreciate any input. Thanks! :)

Thanks! You made me feel much better! Yes well Emory certainly isn't cheap, nor Villanova, but I will save some money not enrolling into JHU! LOL!
