I have applied to both Jeff State and Gadsden State's RN programs, Fall 2016. I have a good amount of points for both schools, so if anyone has some input/advice as to which school would be the better choice, it would be much appreciated. Jeff State is only about 30 minutes away, and Gadsden State is almost an hour. I have heard that Jeff State is much harder than Gadsden though. I know I may be getting way ahead of myself, but I am a planner and I want to have all the information available before/if I have to make a decision. Thanks in advance!

Hi came across your post. Did you decide on which one was best for you? I am thinking about applying to Gadsden State but its an hour away from me but nursing programs are getting harder to get in now since a lot of people are considering nursing as a career now.
I got into both, and chose Gadsden State! I live in Talladega, so i'm an hour away. I had spoken to several ladies who were in the program at Jeff State and they had some negative things to say. I was also having issues with my financial aid at Jeff State. So Gadsden just seemed like the better choice. I just started my pharmacology class last week and have loved it so far! I would definitely put in an application at more than one school. There are three or four girls that I know of who got into both schools and ended up at Gadsden. It's always good to have a plan B!
Congrats! I think I remember you from other posts. I will be applying to 3 schools instead of one this coming up year. I want lawson and gadsden but still thinking very hard on CACC for some reason. I think Jeff state is very hard to get in and Ill rather have a good chance of passing at other schools.
I took all of my basics at CACC and wouldn't recommend their nursing program.
Yeah I did a couple there. I know a couple of people tha finished nursing there and one of the older ladies said she wouldnt recommend it. But of course it was years ago. When is the next applications deadlines for Gadsden? I was so hoping to apply in OCT but was told that there program is changing to and to see the nursing advisor.
