Jefferson FACT 2015 Applicants

Published

Hello all!

I thought I'd start a thread for the FACT applicants at Jefferson for Pre-fall 2015. I was just accepted yesterday and am looking forward to meeting other applicants in May. If you have any questions or comments on the application process, feel free to leave a post.

Good luck!

Hi all,

I have been looking over this thread and I am glad one was started for the fall 2015 applicants. I am in this pool as well and am concerned about the number of applicants they have already accepted. I am unable to turn in my full application until april 30th due to finals at CCP for prereqs. I am worried that this will affect my acceptance along with the limited number of seats available. Has anyone encountered this issue or is this really a question for the admissions office?

@ carrollca. did you apply for APW or the FACT? If it is FACT the program starts in May. I was accepted for the APW program which starts in Fall. You can still apply with courses in progress, which is what I did.

I have an interview on Friday April 17th for APW and I am super nervous. What was the interview process like?

Hello! I am very confused right now. I applied for fall 2015 on nursingCAS. It says I applied for "accelerated pathway for non-nurses". I was under the impression that this was the FACT program. Is that correct? I have looked on the website and FACT is the only Accelerated BSN I see. I am just trying to figure out what APW is. Please help me clear up my confusion! Thank you!

for FACT, you would have applied under NursingCAS 2.0. If you applied under NursingCAS 3.0, then it would have been APW.

FACT is a 12 month program which starts in May, that's why it's called pre-Fall. APW program admits you both to the undergraduate and graduate program. the BSN portion is 27 months and the MSN portion is 15 months. APW starts in the fall.

Thanks for the help! NursingCAS threw me off because it lists it as "Accelerated BSN (2nd degree)" and then I went to the Jefferson website, saw FACT and assumed that was it because nursingCAS said nothing about an MSN. 27 months is a long time. Looks like I learned a lesson. Lol

Hello I am awaiting to apply to the pre fall Fact program for 2016. I'm just waiting for the application to open. I found out that 128 people are in the 2015-2016 class. Does anyone know how many people actually apply to this school for the Fact Program? And also is it best to apply right when the application opens? I still have 3 pre reqs to fulfill but I will be completing them in fall 2015 and spring 2016. I just want to increase my chances of getting accepted .

I had a similar experience with Drexel, and I was wondering if you could email more or direct message me on here I had a few questions. Like did you have to send your villanova transcripts to jefferson and did you have a chance to explain leaving villanova? I am worried they will not accept me based on my Drexel failure even though I needed a 77 and received a 76.

I'm not sure how many people apply to the program but your best bet is to apply as soon as you can so the spots don't fill up. I know a lot of people were still finishing up pre-reqs while they were applying. They just need to be finished by the time you begin in May.

Hi Everyone!

I am hoping to apply to the 2016 pre-fall cycle. I just finished my bachelor's degree in music and will be taking my pre-reqs at Penn State Abington this fall...my concern is that if I apply as early as everyone says you should (august-october) that I won't be accepted since I will have just started my pre-reqs. Has anyone else had any experience with this? I'm really hoping to get in for this May.

What is the earliest people started getting interviews last year? And does anyone know what month they filled their class? Thanks!

hey I'm currently applying to the 2016 jeff fact program and wanted to get an opinion from someone who has been through it! how many people accepted? what were your stats when you got in? how do you like it? Thank you I REALLY APPRECIATE IT :)
