Hello, this thread is for the Jeff State fall hopefuls 2016. Application deadline is May 12 @ 4:30pm. I applied to both programs, night and weekend program being my first pick with a total of 190 points. I Also applied to the day program with my three picks being Jefferson campus, Shelby campus and pell city campus last. I was admitted into the program before but withdrew because of a death in the family. Ive had time to grieve and im ready to rock and roll. Ive missed nursing so much and im so excited. For all the new candidates, nursing is hard. It demands of lot of attention. Sometimes more than a newborn infant. Stay grounded and lets complete nursing school.
I just want to make sure I'm reading this right. so once we complete our background check we turn in a hard copy to them?
Once the background check is complete, you can print the receipt showing that you paid for it. They will get a copy of the results. You won't have to do anything after paying.

so that means we don't need show up on July 8th, right? All we have to do is log on the website they sent on email and do the background checkup?
So, some of my classmates had pretty high scores (190-200) and haven't received a letter. Does anyone know if they are going to do a second round of acceptance letters?
I would definitely call with that many points. I got my acceptance letter but didn't get my 2nd email so I emailed her and she said that she didn't see my response to accept my spot at first because it was buried under 1000 other emails. I'm not sure if there was a mistake but they are dealing with a lot of applicants and things can get lost in the shuffle. I would be surprised if someone with 200 points didn't get in.
Pell City here. Got email. Been so busy meeting requirements haven't had time to post. The American family care, doc in box have all the immunizations fyi. Got mine, and the TB test too. Your immunization record will be with your high school. That's where I went with my id and got mine. Call first allow them time to pull it. Then to American Family Care, with that blue form of immunizations, and they do the rest. The info from your background check is automatically sent to Jeff State, just print out the receipt, or the receipt and the completed report (just to be sure as I did) and have with you along with medical sheet at orientation.
