  1. For anyone who has purchased the nursing bundle already, would you please share with us the ISBN numbers for the access cards?
  2. I have a friens who is giving me all her nursing books. I know the lady told us today she would rather us buy the pack, but if I can save hundreds of dollars, shouldn't I? Then I can just buy the codes...
  3. Go to meridys.com and enter the passcode sp211. It will show up in the catalogue then
  4. Yes, but didn't the physical form state that we only had to have the flu shot if it was in season? My doc didn't have them, either...
  5. So, it turns out that they wouldn't take my word for it when I told them I had had the chicken pox as a child. They drew my titers. Looks like I may not need any shots at all, because the flu shot is not in season. I was shocked! On another note, I called the PC Bookstore and it looks like our nursing bundle will be over $800. Anyone know how to get them cheaper? The guy there said that he didn't know the actual names of the books that were in the bundle, but that the nursing instructors may want us to buy the bundle instead of the books individually. Has anyone ever rented books from Chegg? They are so much cheaper to rent...
  6. I just called the PC bookstore, and he told me that we would need the "1st Semester Nursing Bundle" ($789) as well as Calculate with Confidence ($94). I asked him what books were in the bundle, and he said they didn't have the bundles in, but to call next week. He said the nursing instructors would probably want us to buy the bundle, but my goodness! Surely we can get them cheaper than that!
  7. I called the health department, and they told me they do not do vaccines for adults. So, I have to go to my regular doctor tomorrow, and they told me insurance doesn't cover the shots, except for flu. So, I have to pay out of pocket
  8. Per my nurse friends, I got a Littman Classic III.
  9. Thanks for the info! How much was the actual MMR shot?
  10. So, some of my classmates had pretty high scores (190-200) and haven't received a letter. Does anyone know if they are going to do a second round of acceptance letters?
  11. Where is everyone going for your vaccines? My doctor told us we would have to pay out of pocket, and to try the health department...
  12. I started a Pell City thread!
  13. This thread is for those who have been accepted or are hopeful to start Nursing School this Fall (2016) at the Jeff State Pell City campus. How many of us are on here?
  14. Titers are your antibodies. They can take blood from you and run your titers to see what vaccines and/or antibodies from sickness you already have. It does take some time, however.
