Jeff State Fall 2014 Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone! I know this is sort of early, but I am planning on applying for the Fall 2014 nursing program at the Jeff State / Center Point campus! Looking for other Fall hopefuls :nurse::up:

They just posted the application for Fall 2014 here:

Nursing Education | RN Application

I just mailed mine in for the Shelby program! I'm so excited!

I will be applying to the Fall but I'm not sure yet which campus. I applied this summer and did not get into Shelby campus. I am going to retake my teas exam since I score kind of low on any advice on how to study trying a different approach. rnwilliams01 you heard cutoff was going to be around 170 for when fall?

Meghanhead I just saw that they posted fall applications up. If you do not mind me asking what was your score on the teas exam?

Well I just mailed my application in. *fingers crossed*

Sunshine277 if you don't mind me asking how many points do you have and what's your teas score?

@futurenur14 I don't mind you asking. I have 180.5 points. My teas score wasn't the best as I wanted it to be which came out to be 52.7%(79.5 points) but but thankfully I had all A's in the other areas. I was thinking about retaking it but I just decided to just go with it and see what happens.

futurenur14 definitely google TEAS science study questions and review as MUCH science as possible. That's where everyone loses their points. Brush up on your grammar and reading comprehension. I did all this at least an hour a day before my TEAS test and I made an 72%

See I'm opposite in studying for TEAS. I didn't study, but if I were to retake it I would not study science, but sharpen up on reading, English, and if you're not great on math (I did excellent on the math, thank goodness!!). I feel like I don't know the science and it would be very hard to study something I'm not familiar with - except the Anatomy part. I did horrible on the science, but GREAT on math and OK on Reading and English and made a 72% (108 points), and I did not study at all. The Math is easy if you did well in Math 100. Just my thoughts on studying... you can still do pretty well overall if you blow the science portion

futurenur14,

I got an 84% on the TEAS. I didn't study much, but I did look over these questions:

They were pretty spot on.

I used the TEAS book to study a day before, and I made an 81.3%. Not sure if that's any good, but it was good enough to get me into the part time program last year. Good luck!

I'm working on math portion. Studying for and hour with five minutes break between. I going to do one subject Monday and wed math Tuesday and Thursday. Science Friday and Saturday is English and reading together. Lets see how it works.

Well I got accepted for summer term studying for the science portion but don't take my advice
