I just applied to The RN program at Jeff State and I wanted to get a thread going for other Fall 2013 hopefuls. If you're like me, the next couple months of waiting is going to be torture and I just thought it would be helpful to have somewhere to go to help pass the time with others in our situation :) I'm pretty optimistic and think I have a good chance, but you just never know! What kind of scores did everyone apply with? I wonder what the cutoff will be? I was told it could be late July before we hear anything...anyone hear something different? Also, who is applying for part-time and who is applying for full-time?

It shouldn't because that would be wrong! Do you really think thy take the time to look up our Facebook? I guess that explains why it takes so long lol. I think they decide purely based on points/gpa
If I found out they discriminated for any reason I wouldn't go there. That Is extremely wrong! I honestly don't think you have to worry about Facebook. We wouldn't know til next fall at the rate we are going if they did check that! I hope we hear something soon. Maybe this week! I am Getting nervous!
I talked to the office last week to try to see how they were gonna notify us because I am moving. The lady that usually does most of the calling is the one on leave. I think we will get letters and/ or emails this time from the way she was talking. She said that we would for sure know before July. Hope this helps someone because it just made me more nervous! Lol.
My life is on hold too! I totally know how you feel! i have no pre-reqs left and I don't know which way to turn. It is kinda ruining my summer because I have been worried about how to pay for it if I do get in and if I don't what do I do next! I asked her that very question and all she said was that the nursing advisor is not taking calls or seeing students so she can get it done, but they didn't have a date set that they were gonna tell us. I hope it is sooner than later so we can enjoy what's left of the summer!
I think we'll find out this week since this coming Monday means we've waited 6 weeks. :) I'm really trying not to think about it too much, but I keep checking on here, so it's obviously not working
My only thing is I wish they would just say how we will hear. They should be able to tell us "you will recieve an email" I mean they have to know how they will notify us. I just feel stupid checking my phone, email and mailbox everyday!
My I offer a bit of advice? Don't email any instructors. Our instructor said she has gotten emails from people asking when letters are going to be sent out. She has no idea who these people are and she has ABSOLUTELY no idea when letters are going to be sent out. I'm not saying that it was anyone here but just wanted to give that heads up they are starting to get frustrated.
Wow! I can't believe someone did that. I did call the school to see how they might notify us because I am moving. I didn't even ask when she just said before July on her own. I'd never contact the instructor.
