Hi Everyone,
I just applied to The RN program at Jeff State and I wanted to get a thread going for other Fall 2013 hopefuls. If you're like me, the next couple months of waiting is going to be torture and I just thought it would be helpful to have somewhere to go to help pass the time with others in our situation :) I'm pretty optimistic and think I have a good chance, but you just never know! What kind of scores did everyone apply with? I wonder what the cutoff will be? I was told it could be late July before we hear anything...anyone hear something different? Also, who is applying for part-time and who is applying for full-time?
Look forward to meeting you all and GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE!
Is anyone else on here a mom? You know how that last 4 weeks the Dr. is all "it could happen any day now" and so you're like, yes! any day! But then 4 weeks later, nada. And everyone's telling you, just enjoy your freedom while you can....
Anyway, I'm really trying to "enjoy" it, but the anticipation is really starting to kill!
I am not a mom but have 3 nieces and remember the whole family was on stand by the last few weeks. It is just like that. I am trying to enjoy it too but like you said the anticipation is killing me. Everything is on hold until we hear especially those who have no more prereqs. What happens if we don't get in and have no other classes to take and wait to try again for next fall. During that time would we have to start paying on student loans? I know you have like six months after you graduate but not sure how that would work.
ok so i had a little time before class so i stopped by the advising center. It just so happened that Kathleen Johnson was the lady who answered my questions so here is some good news: 1. We will be contacted via email. our jeff state email and if you put another one on the application they will send it to both. Once we get the email saying we are accepted in the program we will have to reply saying we want to take the spot. If they do not hear from us within a certain amount of time they will call us to see if we want our spot. She also said we will hear from them by the end of next week. If we do not hear from them within 3 weeks then we need to email her to find out what is going on. Rejection letter to people who did not have a full application or had missing information are the only rejection letters that have gone out. So make sure you are checking the emails! If we do not get in then they will send us a letter in the mail later saying thank you for your application try again later. Ok so GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!
I forgot she asked me to pass on all this information and if you know anyone else applying who is not on here to pass it on the them as well! She said for us to enjoy our summer (just like everyone else did) and dont stress it!
I know that information helped me hope it helped the rest of you as well!!!
just found out that a friend of mine got in! we don't know if it's for the evening or for the daytime programs .....I believe it is for the day time because she didn't specify on her application and it says the jefferson campus sooowe think its the daytime. so if you applied for the day time check all your emails!

Yeah, I'm not sure how an instructor would know? Oh well, we know it won't be long :)
