any Jeff State Fall 2011 hopefuls out there??

I am taking the TEAS V Wednesday, so then I will know how many points I have!!! :)

You can go to AHA online and take the class online and just show up at Hoover Fire Dept. 7 on one of the first three Saturdays of the month between 9 and 12 and just do the skills. It only takes 20 minutes or so. You just have to call them and let them schedule a skills session.

I can't believe it is going to be that long! You would think that since they have to do this about every four months they would have a faster notification system. Or they could stop saying it will be 4-6 weeks and say 7-8 so we don't wait by the mailbox or phone.

Did I call it or did I call it? Lol I guesstimate we'll find out around July 10th. Give or take a few days.

I am taking the CPR class at the Hoover fire dept on July 2 at 9:00 am. Its free if you live in Hoover but since I don"t live in Hoover it"s $20. I hope we know soon I think last summer the other students in my micro class knew by the first week of July. Lets hope we know by then!!!! :nurse:

you wouldn't happen to be the same Patel that was in my a&p 2 class this spring that was also taking chem and micro would u? that chick was crazy but if it is you then i'm sitting next to u in orientation haha

I took the CPR class in Hoover about 4 weeks ago....it was EASY!!! We watched a video/tutorial...practiced along

with the video and at the end took a test....BUT it was a verbal group test! He started with one student and they had to read the question allowed and answer it...and then the next person...so on...so....

It was the easiest CPR class I have ever taken..but just like the previous post...make sure to take the HEALTH CARE PROVIDER class!!! :yeah:

and make sure to take a check...they do not accept cash!

at Hoover...it started at 9 and I was in my vehicle leaving at 1130!!!

Great.. Do they give you a certificate when you complete it, or do they notify the school directly?

you get a sheet of paper that says you completed the course and then about 3-4 weeks later you get your "official CPR card"!!! I am 99.9% sure Jeff State will accept the letter until you get the card! :)

I am in my 5th semester and will be graduating soon. I have uniforms for sale if anyone is interested. I am also selling some for a friend.

$16 White Uniform Top Size X-Small (I have two) Fits a Size 0-4

$18 White uniform Top Size Medium (I have 2) Fits a Size 8-12

$12 White Uniform Pants Size X-small (They run HUGE 6-10)

$12 Purple Scrub Top Size Medium

$12 Purple Scrub Bottom Size Small

$15 White Lab Coat with Patch

All are the required uniform. I will need to hold on to one medium top and the pants for the pinning August 4th but after that they are in need of a good home. Call me 504-0104 and I can meet at the Shelby campus. I have textbooks as well but not for 1st semester, if interested.
