Jeff State St. Vincent's program
I do not attend the night/wknd program but I do know that they have recently upped the admission numbers to 85 for the first semester class at each campus and they have spots for 55 in 2nd semester if that gives any hints to progression. I think we lost about 20 out of 50 first semester, 16 out of about 40 2nd semester, 2 out of 28 3rd semester and just started 4th with 26 students. Good Luck!

Jeff State Fall 2010 hopefuls...
I am just finishing second semester as we speak. You do not sign up for clinincals, they are randomly assigned. Most start at 6:55 AM and finish up around 2pm. The only way to get ahead is read. Know pretty much every box of info in Potter and Perry. The program is hard. I would not do it again. I think only about 5 students are passing out of the 47 we started with at the beggining of 2nd semester. I study 15-20 hrs+ per week which is less than most. Forget working, it really can't be done. I am not trying to discourage you but if you have options to go elsewhere, go. I am not disgruntled, I like the professors, I have learned a lot and I AM one of the people passing right now. Keep in mind 1st semester they break you. Spirit and otherwise. I haven't really decided why. They schedule everything randomly and at the last minute. I think it is to teach you flexibility which is required as an RN. Good Luck. BTW: The math is easy but unfortunately it does not count as a grade so no help there.
