Jeff State Fall 2010 hopefuls...

I will go ahead and start this post for people applying to Jeff State Nursing Program Fall 2010. I know there are people out there with questions...I know I have a ton myself...I guess we can start with the amounts of points people are applying with with what classes??This should give us an idea of maybe where the cutoff will be...it was like 186 for Summer 2010!

I looked my paperwork over good before I turned it in. I hope I don't have anything messed up on it. That would really upset me to have the points but not get in due to something wrong with my paperwork. I haven't heard anyone else talk about how many points they applied with. Not many people are talking about their applications right now. I guess we will find out when the letters go out.

Yea there aren't as many on this board as usual...well we will know what we are in for by mid June...

I am surprised that there aren't more people here talking and trying to see what others have to say about their applications and the whole process. I feel better talking to someone who is going through this whole thing at the same time as I am. I know I am not the only one out there who is stressing over the applications and letters......

Yea I am def stressing over it...I am hoping everything is going well...I am convinced that they are now sifting through our apps...haha...I am going tomorrow to check on everything and talk to the advisor about taking A&P II...I am going to ask them if I can get my points total and if there is a cutoff yet...I got my acceptance to law school today and I am sad to have to turn it down..but nursing school means more to me...we should def not be the only ones out here worried...

So I got wind today that all of the apps have made their way to the Jefferson campus...most of them have been looked through once and scored...I found out in a weird way that mine is in the stack that has not been scored yet...I found this out by calling to make sure that it had not been lost in the transfer...she said she couldn't find it...so I went to meet with the Jefferson campus nursing advisor and she found it by the time I got there...the cutoff is possibly looking like right at 190...that is high as crap...but they will be more firm on it in about 2 weeks...open registration is this week so they had to redirect their attention to that...just an update...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone might know the point cut off for the lpn program? Or what it usually is? Thanks!

I have no idea...I think it is a little lower than the RN cutoff...maybe in the 160's or 170's? I haven't a clue really...good luck though!

Thanks, I have 165/170 so I am really hoping to get in it. I just don't think I have quite enough points for RN but I applied anyway. I just hate the wait!

I am sure you got in with that many points...there shouldn't be a problem with that...yea she said I needed 190 to feel sure about getting in the RN programs...its rough...

I just now noticed your post about the possible points for this fall. I can't believe it could be 190, that is the highest ever! Man that is terrible. I wonder how many people will apply with upper 180's and feel certain they will get in based on past scores. I am nervous about this. I wish we would find something out this next week. I don't want to wait much longer.

I am sure that there will be a bunch of people in the high 180's, but we need to keep in mind that that is speculation by one of the nursing program people. So we really haven't a clue. When I went to talk to the advisor they still have like a quarter of the apps to score so who knows. They will probably finish em by this week I would imagine. I will keep calling to try to make sure they have my score right. I don't want to miss anything.

I haven't called Jeff State at all. I am worried all I will do is make them mad. I don't need any strikes against me. LOL. If you hear anything concrete on the points let me know. Or if you hear letters are going out let me know..... The waiting is killing me!
