Jeff Davis Community College in Brewton, Alabama -- anyone else attending?

Published

I have three more pre-req classes after this semester before starting nursing classes. I would love to "meet" some people online that are also attending Jeff Davis in Brewton, Alabama.

I turned in my app for nursing school and had a point score of 147...not sure if it's good enough yet. What have you heard about the point requirements?

Oh crud!!!! So sorry to hear it BUT keep your head up :) With determination you will get in eventually...it can't come easy or that would spoil us for this long haul!

I guess I just look at it like this...I WANT to go to JD since I've heard it is the best and that is where I will go no matter how hard or long I have to work for entrance...

Remind me again, where are you currently going and have you have anatomy I and II and micro?

I have my application in at JD and I was planning on going there for sure if I got accepted. But I already got my acceptance letter from PJC. I was going to stay away from PJC at all costs, but I'm pretty sure that's where I will be going. Unfortunately JD doesn't offer federal student loans. They do grants, but I don't qualify...PJC does offer federal student loans. I need loans to get through. I wish JD took part in the federal loan program. I'm sure that is a determining factor for others to, as to where they will go to school. I've heard a lot of reallly great things about JD, a lot of really bad things about PJC. But there are people that graduate PJC as hard as it may be and the ones that do graduate for the most part pass the nclex. so I'm gonna give it a go.

I wish you all luck in getting in!

I know we all just can't wait to get started!!

kayty, best of luck to you at pjc...i too have heard both good and bad things about the program. i'm guessing you have the right attitude of just going in there and kicking butt :specs: (scholastically speaking). as for the rest of us who still waiting to hear from jd, any ideas on when we might?

I expect to hear from JD around the first week of November...you guys will be the first to know (other than my family) :)
