I have an interview at John C Lincoln Deer Valley on Monday. Does anyone know anything about their peds floor? Thanks.

My friend works there and she loves it she has been there 2 yrs and said she wouldnt work anywhere else. Her dh wants to move back up North but because she loves her job on the paeds floor she wont go.

I got the rejection call.:o This hospital is not really new grad friendly, huh? It is a small facility so I figure maybe they don't have the resources to train new grads?? My experience is that getting into this hospital is like cracking the morse code. Oh well.

Getting a job as a nurse is seeming much harder than I originally thought....:uhoh21:

I am sorry did you ask them why? Scottsdale Shea have a really good new grad program

That's great to hear. I start there in a couple of weeks!

I used to work at both hospitals, Deer Valley is way better than North Mountain. Especially the nurse recuriter there, she's horrible!

Does anyone know about the SNAP program they offer? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!

I applied for a CNA job at North Valley twice a few years back. Boy, was I treated poorly. I did my clinicals there and the floor I worked really wanted me to get hired. For some reason the girl who interviewed in HR was very dismissive about this and didn't even follow up on the fact that the floor charge liked me. The second time around she took one look at me and said "Haven't you applied before?" I told her "Yes a few months back and now I have my PCT from Phoenix College" It didn't matter. I was brushed off promptly.

Now that I'm actually in RN school, I don't know if I'll go back and try to apply there. Time will tell. I honestly felt like I was a target of a negative impression formation, but I dressed very nice and don't see how that couldn't happened.

St Joes seems to hire a lot of new grads...on our unit to save money.
