2012 January Aria students?

Published

Hi. Anyone apply for Aria SON? for January 2012 start?:)

I baaically took all the psu classes except theater mico and phramacology

Its not a seperate form for vision. Just a vision test and weather you wear contacts or glasses. My dr did mine yesterday.

@bumblebee - yeah, I figured they wouldn't want us calling. I'll just wait for orientation.

Julie told me my deposit was received but it's also not in my ledger section yet.

I DID NOT receive a vision screening, but I DID receive a dental screening, which I've already made an appointment for dentist.

Julie sent an email today asking for a Student data record and a course listing. I emailed her back to let her know I didn't receive either of those. She said she was mailing me out another packet of information. ?? Anybody else receive this email? Or did you receive those two forms??

Those forms came with the medical packet.

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding taking A&P online. Has anyone taken A&PII online and it transfer into the Aria program? I have heard some talk that some colleges and programs have a hard time accepting online courses that contain a lab, and the sciences state they need a lab attached as a requirement. I am hesitant to take an E-learning A&P class that potentially might not transfer if I get into Aria. It's the only class I am able to take and I am trying to get some advice..

Philliesgirl, I'd call and talk to the school. That would be your best bet.

I got an email from her reminding about getting CPR done and school code for the certified background website.

The only vision papers I had in packet was the health evaluation. Which did have one q about contacts...

The course list paper was with the acceptance packet

phillies girl, yeah id call the school on that one. but if i had to guess, if it doesnt have a lab, they prob wont accept it

warren lucky you:) you prob wont have to take any penn state rotations like me, and get done in 2 years, 8 weeks. yes youd be taking n110, then n111 then n210 etc

Thanks for the advice! Also, what enables you to skip a penn state rotation or both psu rotations? I have a B.S degree and I am hoping most of my credits from my degree and the pre-requisites in science, stat and socioloy will transfer!! I am keeping my fingers crossed to hopefully finish 2 yrs 8 weeks!

one nursing class, and 2 penn state classes per semester. for level one, theres 2 nursing classes. so that gives you the opportunity to take 4 penn state classes during your first level. the question of you advancing to the next level is did you complete all the first level classes? if you cant complete them all then you take a penn state rotation. thats the easiest way to explain it without getting into the details.

@bumblebee what do you do at the hospital during your first level?

first semester you are with the old folk, usually at a home/assisted living. you get to look through the chart for the first time and get a feel for it. you spend your first semester writing only 1 care plan, and you will do vital signs on one patient a day.

n111, you learn shots this semester so you get to give those, insulins, accuchecks(blood sugar) etc. and u do one care plan a week
