Jacksonville University mental health NP program

Published

Hello :-) I'm applying for the 2017 mental health NP program (MSN) at JU and I can't find anyone's testimony or experiences with applying. I've found stories for the other programs, but not mental health. I was hoping someone could share with me their experience in the program or the acceptance rate for this program at JU. What could help me get in or during the interview? Thank you for your time and answers! 😊❤️

Hi, I'm looking to apply to Jacksonville University's PMHNP program. I know it is relatively new and was hoping to find out if anyone is currently in the program...and what you think of it? Also curious about admissions/how competitive? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’m sorry I didn’t see the other comments until now! I ended up working some with Dr De Carvalho at Wekiva Springs, that’s so funny. Sorry again I didn’t see your post before and I hope it’s going well In the program ?

I graduated from the program this year. I know they are making some changes to the program but our cohort was small (about 10 people). I’m not sure how competitive it is now or if they are increasing the class size. I wish I could give you more information on that.

It was challenging but a really great program. I think everyone passed the Certification exam on the first try. You can take some classes online through one of their online MSN programs before the program begins to make it easier on yourself. The five core courses are online through the MSN leadership or clinical educator degrees. This helped some of us avoid 12 hour class days and only have to come for 6-8 hours one day a week. Good luck. ?

Hey Everyone - I'm looking for some updates for this program. I applied to the Fall 2023 Cohort. Anyone attend recently or have some insight? Thanks

I'm looking for information also, I researched their website but I haven't seen how long the program is? On their website it says $675 per credit as of today. If anyone who graduated the program or is currently in it has any high-yielding feedback to share about the program such as the structure, format, exams, is the program fully online?
