  1. Hi! I’m sorry I didn’t see the other comments until now! I ended up working some with Dr De Carvalho at Wekiva Springs, that’s so funny. Sorry again I didn’t see your post before and I hope it’s going well In the program ? I graduated from the program this year. I know they are making some changes to the program but our cohort was small (about 10 people). I’m not sure how competitive it is now or if they are increasing the class size. I wish I could give you more information on that. It was challenging but a really great program. I think everyone passed the Certification exam on the first try. You can take some classes online through one of their online MSN programs before the program begins to make it easier on yourself. The five core courses are online through the MSN leadership or clinical educator degrees. This helped some of us avoid 12 hour class days and only have to come for 6-8 hours one day a week. Good luck. ?
  2. Oh wow! Ok thank you for letting me know. Hopefully we will hear from them by the end of spring for the interviews. :-)
  3. I do live in Jacksonville, but I don't have any psych nursing experience outside of clinicals. I have applied to different psych units at hospitals, but I just graduated last year and got a med/surg offer and a pediatric offer. Every psych unit I applied to told me I needed experience. So I've been working in pediatrics but I'm lucky to have a team that gives me the pediatric psych patients when available. Also, the nurses during any clinical rotation were usually happy to give me psych patients on the med/surg units. I know this is what I want to do and I know I can make a difference so I won't give up! :) What about you, do you have psych experience?
  4. Thank you for replying!!! That's a small cohort and a great pass rate! I'm so excited/nervous. Good luck í ½í¸Š I hope we both get in and I will be meeting you soon!
  5. Hello :-) I'm applying for the 2017 mental health NP program (MSN) at JU and I can't find anyone's testimony or experiences with applying. I've found stories for the other programs, but not mental health. I was hoping someone could share with me their experience in the program or the acceptance rate for this program at JU. What could help me get in or during the interview? Thank you for your time and answers! 😊❤️
