Hey everyone,
I applied for Reynolds fall 2017 RN program that closes may 15th. Just wanted to see everyone's scores for the Kaplan test. We are supposed to hear back 1st or 2nd week of June. Good luck everyone!
I took the Kaplan twice to better my science score.
1st test: Reading 82%, Math 93%, Writing 86%, Science 75%
2nd test: Reading 91%, Math 96%, Writing 71%, Science 80%
Oh bon secours is good. I work there and at vcu I pay or of pocket for school so double tuition assistance will come in handy lol. But they are very organized. Funny bc I was excited to go to jsr. It's 15 minutes from my house and they do clinical at vcu and I work there already so I just knew it would be great. I literally drive over an hour away to go to class at pvcc. Pretty interesting. To say the least. I have been through this process b4 and I can't afford for anything to take it away from me and my family.
Mr. King said on Thursday that he was waiting for people to turn documents in and once they turned them in it would affect the list so thats why the people haven't been notified yet. Essentially someone with a 73 could be "in" right now but could get bumped off if the person with a 75 turns their docs in. But i think what has happened is the lack of instructors has affected the list. Theres no way they are still waiting on people to turn documents in. That deadline was in May. Nothing at the point makes sense and that's why I'm washing my hands of this program.
I'm at St Mary's part time but will go prn soon bc I can get the same tuition assistance and I'm part time at vcu. I work nights. I will be working at most 3 nights a week once clinical starts in august totaling 28 hrs a week. Between the 2 I currently work 36 a week obligated but I'm putting in more hours this summer to cut out my debt. I want to work my 28hrs a week in the fall and spring and pick up more in Summer. Anything to pay for school and be done
I don't understand why I got a call but no email or letter that I was accepted
It's because they are disorganized. According to this forum, few people got calls, a few others got emails and the rest of us nothing. I'm sure your email and letter will be sent out with the rest once they figure out the total accepted applicants.

Well I was happy to know I was 2nd on the list to get accepted but I got a call. I didn't get anything in writing. No email or letter yet. I mean I appreciate the call but I also heard from my coworkers who are students that they hate it. I really need a stable, organized program. Henceforth why I will be keeping my spot at Piedmont Virginia Community College. I hope all of you who do decide to attend jsr get a quality education. As for me, I just registered for my ODU RN to BSN classes YAYYYYY
