J. Sargeant Reynolds Fall 2017

Published

Hey everyone,

I applied for Reynolds fall 2017 RN program that closes may 15th. Just wanted to see everyone's scores for the Kaplan test. We are supposed to hear back 1st or 2nd week of June. Good luck everyone!

I took the Kaplan twice to better my science score.

1st test: Reading 82%, Math 93%, Writing 86%, Science 75%

2nd test: Reading 91%, Math 96%, Writing 71%, Science 80%

Hey everyone! I just received my acceptance email. My orientation is July 19th at 8:30am. With how it was worded, it seems that this email was sent to everyone, but just in case, here it is:

"Good afternoon Nursing Applicants!

It is with excitement that I send you this news! You have been accepted into the fall 2017 class for the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Reynolds Community College. This notification has been sent to the remaining group, in addition to the earlier notifications sent out on Friday June 23, 2017, in an effort to streamline the remainder of the communication process. We ask that when you reply, that you do so individually, and not to the group itself.

You may see the attached documentation for more details concerning orientation, and you may also keep the official notification for your records. I extend to you all congratulations, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Daryl King

Nursing Admissions Specialist"

Email me. I will send u info [email protected]

Congrats to all who got accepted!!! I have a question to you, how many days you have to answer back? if you accept or not.

I got mine too!!

Hi everyone,

By any chance, has someone here been accepted as an alternate if so, can you please share what is your kaplan score?

I'm on the alternate list. Score is 78. Thought that was high enough. Apparently not. Had great scores in every section but science unfortunately.

Cd89- my score is 74.9. I wonder if we really have a chance in getting into the program, since I saw that there is at least 35 people on that list.

I talked to mr. King today and asked him if all 80 seats will be filled. He would not answer me. Instead, he told me to inquire with the nursing program. My thoughts are that the alternate list is so big this year because they didn't fill all 80 seats and are waiting to hire instructors. If instructors can be hired, they will accept more students. Also, he mentioned to a student that the lowest score accepted was a 73. That was before the instructors quit. Had those instructors not quit, I think the outcome of this mess would be different.

Harley22811- Mr. king doesn't answer questions, I tried. Alternates are the "just in case list" :(

Did you got accepted?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But like someone else stated, I think if they hire more teachers we may have a chance. Other than that no idea. More waiting!

Sorry I unfortunately deleted email by mistake. Can you resend [email protected]

Congrats to all who got accepted!!! I have a question to you, how many days you have to answer back? if you accept or not.

ABCstudent, the file attached to my email says that they need to receive responses by July 5th. If you reply after that date, it says that they will have already given the spot to another candidate.
