IvyTech Fall 2016

U.S.A. Indiana

Published

Creating this thread because no one has yet!!! But with that being said, here's a little bit about myself. I live in Dallas currently but will be moving to Indiana in a few months to attend IvyTech for their ASN program. I have one son and I'm very proud of him! This is why I'm going to nursing school to ensure I can take care of him. I haven't taken my TEAS test but I will soon. Who else has taken their TEAS test? What campuses are you applying to? What points do you or will you have once your finished with everything? I'll be happy to see everyone's responses and I look forward to being on this nursing journey with you all.

Stay possitive, scores all depend on how many applicants apply to each campus. We've said it before and it's worth repeating, scores don't indicate if you will be a good nurse. Often then indicate more the value of the schools investments in potential students but in my paramedic classes I had a professor that always said...I'd rather have someone streetsmart than booksmart. There is a lot of untestable ales in potential nursing students, so we just do our best aND keep pushing forward.

Specializes in Rehabilitation nurse.

Im at lawrence not sure about bloomington sorry

I applied at the Valparaiso campus for both the RN and PN programs. I do not expect to get into the RN but hope for the PN. I have a 128/160 score and my classes were transferred in from Purdue back when I got a degree in construction in 1994.

I am unsure if I'll get into the PN program here but fingers are crossed. I am not sure how hard it is at this campus.

Which campus are you referring to, I'll hopefully be at Bloomington. I thought they had hunter green scrub bottoms, and white scrub top with Ivy Tech logo.

Hi,

we do have Hunter green pants and white tops (with green stripes). You need to buy a Ivy Tech patch at the bookstore.

I buy mine from Amazon or Scubs and Beyond.

Good luck to you!

All I have left are my finals this week! I have A's in psychology, english, and A&P1. Combined with my TEAS score I'll have a 141/160. I only applied to Kokomo but I'm hoping it's enough!

Good luck now have a dreaded month to wait!

Oh I'm sure it is!!!!

I'm currently waiting. Just finished advanced human physiology bc I got my electives out of the way due to working and kids. I applied to every ivy tech less than 2 hrs away from me and to both programs. I know I can get into the lpn program I'm hoping to squeeze in the RN program. I wish it was the end of May lol

If you don't mind me asking, how many points did you have?

I get nervous checking the mail even though I know it'll be a few more weeks. The anticipation is killing me!
