Ivy Tech Spring 2018 Hopefuls

Hopefully no one has started a new group yet. Anyone out there applying for spring? Applications are opening in 2 days so I figured we could help each other through the horrible wait of the application time and

then selection time. I am applying to the Fort Wayne campus with a low score of 123.82.

I am going to the Anderson campus. I won't have to step down from my spot in the program...but my position at work. I have a management position. Thank you for the info about looking for the classes.

I did look up the classes for the Spring 2018 view only for Greencastle. Does anyone know if we are supposed to take Pharm the first semester or does it matter? Asking because, the 2 definite first semester courses have a time that is the same as the pharm course. I can't believe orientation happens so closely to the semester start! I am a big planner and that kills me!

I had asked about pharmacology in another thread last night to a student who started this fall. She said you do take pharmacology the first semester. Ivy Tech used to have the classes listed for each semester but changed it. Yeah, I viewed the schedule for the Lawrenceburg campus. I am a little confused on some of the times listed. I guess we will find out everything soon. I believe our applications said they will send more information after the 22nd when all the rounds are completed.

I got accepted at Fort Wayne for ASN. I heard orientation is in November. I know some things to do til then are to get your immunization record or titers done. With that you need Hep B shots if you don't have that, also a tetorifice and flu shot. If you need any get them early so you are not rushing. Also if you are not CPR certified work on getting that. Oh You also will also need a TB test done. That's some things a fellow student has helped me with. Hope I am helping! Congrats to Everyone!! And good luck to the ones still waiting.

Does anyone know what classes are taken the 1st semester at Lawrence? From the info I have gathered it's fundamentals, nursing lab, med surg 1, and med surg clinical. Is that right? Also, what color are the scrubs there?

I was on Ivytech.edu went to the nursing page and I clicked on nursing overview and application booklet. On page 50 it gives a semester by semester schedule. What you mentioned looks right according to the booklet, but I had another student that started this fall from another thread said that you take pharmacology too. But according to the booklet you don't take it until the next semester. So I don't know. I guess we'll find out soon enough after the 22nd.

Ok, I just went back to look at that thread. She said they are taking pharmacology at the Muncie campus and she heard that's not the norm. So I guess it's hard to say.

They do it in 4 rounds. First was last Friday. So the neat will be this Friday. Where did you apply?

What was your score? I have seen some acceptance with a score of 114 on the face book page.
