I have been looking for a thread for any Ivy students that have applied for 2016 and can't find one!
Since the wait for the letter is going to KILL me, I really wanted to start a thread to communicate with others who are also waiting on that letter.
So...
What are your TEAS scores, grades, and points? What campus are you applying to?
I have a TEAS score of 88 and all A's, and will be applying to the ASN and PN program at the sellersburg campus!
Hoping to meet other Ivy Techers :)
I got my letter on the 9th
I've been hearing mixed answers from various campuses regarding whether there would be a "wave" of e-mails, or whether it was just the e-mails that were sent on the 9th. Honestly, I'm not sure what's going on with this new application system. I know a lot of people who had high scores ended up getting offered spots in there last campus choice, out of several they selected, so a lot of people are confused.
I am applying for the 2017 Fall Paramedic to RN at the Lawrence campus, talking to the women in the nursing office today was like talking to debbie downer. I feel so discouraged. Can anyone else on here give me a little insight on what they think or maybe have heard.
my TEAS score is overall 76%
English 80%
Reading 83.3%
Math 73.3
Science 68.8%
this gives me a total of 76.1/100 points towards the program
My prereqs I got Aphy 101 B -20/30 points
English 111 -A 15/15 points
Psyc 101 - C 5/15 points (im going to take this again next semester to try for a better grade, online was a poor choice)
this gives me a total of 40/60 points
overall 116.1/160
They told me they take 30 for the program and usually around 40 apply. I am stressing so bad about this.
Not to be a downer as well but 116 is a very risky score. I would try to retake some of those classes. That will be the easiest way to bump up score. The lowest score I know for sure of getting into the rn program was 132. Of course there have been lower scores get in, but the higher the score, the higher the probability of getting into the program is. The applicant pool is another variable to take into consideration as well. I think trusting the counselor's gut feeling is a good thing.
