Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

U.S.A. Indiana

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

Oh, thanks for posting. I am hoping for Anderson, since I live in the Indy area. Good Luck to you too!:nurse:

Me too! I drove to Muncie to deliver my alternate letter and it's not too bad, but with the stress off nursing school it would really make life easier driving to Anderson instead of Muncie~but, I will go wherever they send me!!! I am so excited to get to meet you guys soon! Also, just so you know I was told that no matter what you need to go to the mandatory orientation on November 12th, even if you are an alternate and don't know if you are in yet. I was told if you don't go then you can't start classes in January.

Congrats to everyone!!!:D

Does anyone know how may alternates there are?

I am 10th on the alternate list at the Kokomo campus. Is anyone turning down an acceptance to Kokomo?

I'm going crazy over here!haha:uhoh3:

Amurph, what was your score? Did it say alternate on your letter, or did you talk to someone? Do you know how many spots they filled total? Sorry for all the questions! Good luck to you, I hope you get in!

Yes, I am also hopeful for Anderson as well. I am looking forward to meeting you. Hope we both get offered Anderson:). One year will go fast. I definitely plan on attending the manditory orientation. Must be a lot of information since it is from 9am to 2pm. I mailed my alternate acceptance letter on Friday. I will call Muncie late next week to make sure they received it. :D

Congrats to everyone!!!:D

Someone said 10, but that information might not be correct.

I never received a letter so I had to call them. They said they didn't know why I didn't receive mine, that I was on the alternate list and that I was 10th on the list. my score was low I had a 191. 3 A's and 1 B and a 78.2 on the TEAS. I only took the TEAS once though.

Hang in there guys! I sent my decline in for Muncie last week and several others have as well so keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks MarcyP67 for the info. Praying for an acceptance letter:)

Has anyone heard anything from Terre Haute? Letters should have went out o month ago and still nothing!

Not a word. I am very concerned about this. I am wondering if they will let me know before I have to report to Indy on the 4th for orientation. This will involve money. I have not heard from Greencastle either.

Ugh! I was told the letters were mailed out on the 25th when I called Terre Haute. They basically lied to me because - SURPRISE!- Still no letter! Does anyone know what's going on? I'm starting to loose it....
