Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

U.S.A. Indiana

Published

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

I called the Terre Haute office today and talked to Andrea. She told me the letters are scheduled to go out on Friday. This coming up Friday. That is so frustrating. I have to go to the orientation in Indy on Thursday. I had hoped to get into Terre Haute, and now I will have to pay money on Thursday to Indy.

I just thought everyone wants to know the latest news about letters.

wait again.

Thanks for letting us know what you found out. Lets just hope they really send them this time.

It's evident they (Terre Haute) don't care about how much money students have to waste because of their lack of planning. We're just the ones paying their salary, so don't mind us.

I wonder what the school would think if we organized a protest? And contacted the media? Waiting isn't funny, but making them realise how you can't just treat people badly....now that'd be funny!

This is from the schools website!!! September 30th, whatever.

what on earth took so long???? That is unheard of. I think they need to be accountable.

I got into Bloomington LPN program!

Finally got my letter from Terre Haute. I made it!!!! Now I have one month to get everything done and turned in. Does anyone know where to get CPR certification?

Shahass76, I got my letter today also! Yay for us! I'm guessing we have to contact the Reed Cross for a schedule of CPR classes. I think things just got expensive!

Specializes in oncology, dermatology.

I got my letter from Terre Haute today too! I got in with a 211. So excited! I found a good place to get CPR certification by the american heart association (It's in Greencastle). CPR Training Classes in Indiana : CPR Class, BLS CPR, AED Training, First Aid Training, CPR Renewal, American Heart CPR Certification Classes Courses

Make sure you sign up for the right class. It's $45 for the class.

See all of you at orientation!

I got into the ASN program at Terre Haute! Do not do the Red Cross CPR. It must be AHA for Health Care Provider with AED. The one in Greencastle is where I went. It is a one day class and they did a great job!

See you there!

I am getting excited about starting clinicals in January. Anyone else starting clinicals at Bloomington?:nurse:

I am starting in Bloomington too! Yay!!!! Do you live in Bloomington???:nurse:
