Hey everybody!
The time has finally come to apply! I'm a mixture of excited, curious but most importantly NERVOUS!
I created this thread to share scores, tips and any rumors you've heard about getting into nursing school on your campus.
I guess I should start by sharing my scores.
I got an A in Anatomy, A in Psych, and a B in English. I haven't taken my TEAS yet but I am studying for it everyday. I plan on getting an 80 or higher since I've heard a lot of people on my campus only get in with that. I am applying to the Bloomington campus for the RN and LPN program. Good luck to everybody!
I just retook my TEAS and got a 76% which I'm happy with. That puts me at 137/160 and while it is not wonderful, i think I'll be ok. I have applied to Bloomington, Anderson, Indy, and Columbus for fall. I was on the wait list at Bloomington last semester (most likely would have got in after people accepted/declined, think I was #8) and was accepted to Anderson with a 130 total but didn't get to attend í ½í¸¢ Good luck to everyone!!!! Hope we all get on somewhere!
I just finished my TEAS.... can't say it was easy.I have an A in ANPY 101 and 102, A in Psychology and English. 88% on the TEAS exam today. So 148/160 will be the score with my application.
I am only applying to Bloomington since I have 4 kids that really don't need both of their parents working an hour from home...so not a lot of options here. I spoke with the Nursing office, last Fall the highest application score was 153, a rare score. 136-153 were the scores for the first 40 seats offered, 15 declined and went to other schools. The next 14 dropped the range to 128. Then the LPN program took scores down to 120.
This is a good ballpark to consider with the Bloomington campus. Good luck to everyone applying....that due date is almost here. For those that do make it in, the orientation will be around the 1st or 2nd week of July. June 1st is when letters will go out once they have all of the submitted grades turned in from the spring semester....it couldn't come fast enough, the waiting game will be painfull.
Thanks for this info. I'm taking the TEAS when I get back from break. I've been putting it off for too long. Congrats on your score too!
