Ivy Tech Fall 2019 Hopefuls

I don't believe there is a board already started. I am ready to take my TEAS test in January and apply for the Fall 2019 nursing program. I just wanted to make a board so we can all keep each other up to date. I am only able to apply at my main campus in Lafayette, IN in the Fall so I decided to wait. I hope this is a place we can offer each other support and share our scores before we wait for the news! Good luck everyone and study hard!

So, I got my acceptance this morning but it was to my 2nd campus choice. While I will not miss this opportunity regardless of the campus, I am really wanting my 1st choice. What happens if I decline or don't respond to the offer I received this morning?

I think if you go ahead and accept it, at the end of the selection process, if there is an opening at your #1 pick they will contact you. I think, don't take my word for it. Is there a nursing admin assistant or someone you can email and ask?

Mine said i have accepted conditionally at columbus campus does everyone else get a similar message?

Yes "conditionally" because it's still up to you to get the rest of the paperwork in order, get the required immunizations, and pass a criminal background check....oh, and to show up to orientation and get your schedule. The advisor will email us with the orientation info after the last round of acceptance letters go out.

Was marilynmonroe2004 correct in saying I will be offered a spot at my number 1 choice if there is a spot still open even if I accept my 2nd choice?

Hi everyone, I applied at the Bloomington campus only. I got an B in APHY 101, A in English, and an A in psychology. I got a 74 on the teas, so overall I only got 124 points. I haven’t gotten an email. Losing hope already :(

Don't lose hope, there are still three rounds of acceptance to go. Keep your head up. ?

Yes give it some time!! I have seen many 130s and up get accepted but I am sure MANY people applied at Bloomington who are going to decline and go elsewhere. Do not lose hope yet though it IS only round one!!

Does anyone know how the selection process really works? Is there a chance I will get an email throughout the week or is it a certain day? I’m confused on the whole process

Those that received invites have 7 days to respond. Then the computer will send out another wave of invites next Saturday if there are open seats. This process repeats twice more if needed.
